The 18th International Conference of the East Asian Economic Association (EAEA) in Korea.

Four Lecturers of the Department of Agribusiness of IPB University participated in the 18th International Conference of the East Asian Economic Association (EAEA) in Korea.
Seoul, South Korea – Four Agribusiness lecturers from IPB University participated in the 18th International Conference of the East Asian Economic Association (EAEA) held on October 21-22, 2023 at Seoul National University (SNU), Seoul, South Korea. The conference with the theme “Charting Inclusive Pathways for Innovation, Growth, and Integration in Asia” is a prestigious event to discuss economic issues in Asia.

Conference participants are required to submit abstracts by April 30, 2023, with a choice of 28 sub topics available. In addition to presenting their papers, participants are also assigned to discuss other participants’ papers in a discussion session, enriching academic discussions and building international collaboration.

In addition to providing benefits at the individual level, participation in this conference is expected to contribute to the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the department, faculty, and university. Through this support, lecturers are motivated to make a meaningful contribution to achieving the university’s strategic goals and increasing academic contributions at the international level.

The four lecturers of the Agribusiness Department who participated in this activity were Prof. Amzul Rifin, Dr. Netti Tinaprilla, Dr. Suprehatin, and Herawati, M.Si. Their participation in this conference is expected to strengthen academic networks and open up opportunities for future research collaboration.

In addition to scientific presentations and discussion sessions, the conference also organized a banquet dinner which became a forum for participants to discuss and expand professional networks. The participation of IPB University Agribusiness lecturers in this international conference demonstrates their commitment to improving academic quality and contributions to economic issues in Asia, as well as strengthening IPB University’s position in the international academic arena.
