QS WUR 2025 Released, IPB University Rises to 426th World Ranking

The QS World University Ranking (WUR) 2025 has been released on Tuesday (4/6). In the ranking, IPB University’s ranking in QS WUR 2025 has increased. From previously ranked #489 in the world, IPB University rose to #426 in the world for 2025. Of the 9 assessment indicators, the three highest values of IPB University’s indicator achievements are in the Faculty Student Ratio, which is ranked 186 in the world, Employer Reputation is ranked 196 in the world and International Faculty is ranked 351 in the world.

Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria stated, the increase in rank in QS WUR is proof of IPB University’s consistency in improving research performance, internationalization and innovation.

“Alhamdulillah, IPB University’s ranking in the world continues to increase. This further emphasizes the position of IPB University as one of the quality universities at the global level. Hopefully next year it can break through the #300s ranking. Thank you for the support and hard work of all parties,” said Prof Arif.

Previously, in the QS WUR by Subject ranking in 2024, IPB University managed to maintain the Top 10 position in Asia in the field of Agriculture and Forestry. In the QS WUR by Subject Agriculture and Forestry 2024, IPB University was ranked 7th in Asia and 51st in the world.

QS WUR is an annual publication for ranking the world’s best universities conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds. This year, the ranking is based on nine indicators. These are Academic reputation, Citations per faculty, Employer reputation, Employment Outcomes, Faculty/student ratio, International Faculty Ratio, International Research Network, International Student Ratio and Sustainability.
