IPB University Held a Talkshow with LinkedIn Learning: “Optimize Your LinkedIn Learning”

Friday, 31 May 2024 –Directorate of International Education (DPI) IPB University held a Talkshow entitled “Optimize Your LinkedIn Learning” which was held on Friday, 31 May 2024, in the Meeting Room of the International Student Center Building, 2nd Floor, IPB Dramaga. This event presented Sury Chow, LinkedIn Talent Account Executive from LinkedIn Singapore headquarter, who discussed the strategy of activating LinkedIn Learning premium accounts specifically for active IPB University students. The talk show aimed to help IPB students optimally utilize the LinkedIn Learning platform in achieving their career goals.
From December to July, we have seen a significant increase in LinkedIn Learning account activations among IPB University students. Account activation increased to 58.54% on July 27, 2024, from only 17.3% on July 1, 2024, after the opening of the help desk for students”, said Mrs. Alfiasari, Assistant Director of International Education Management at IPB’s Directorate of International Education.

The top 3 career goals identified by the LinkedIn Learning IPB community are Grow and advance in my current career, Transition into a new career, and Develop skills to manage teams.The top skills most chosen by unique participants were social media marketing, data analysis, and strategic planning.The top certifications obtained by participants based on courses related to their career goals include Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Public Accountant (CPE), and Microsoft. Other certifications widely taken include Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).Microsoft Excel was the skill most studied by students, followed by Project Management and Data Analysis which came in second and third place.
At the end of the event, DPI and LinkedIn Learning recognized the Top Learners. The students were announced and rewarded for their achievements in utilizing LinkedIn Learning.
