IPB University Partners with Gianyar Regency to Launch International Agromaritime Camp
Gianyar, Bali – As part of the partnership agreement between Gianyar Regency, Bali, and IPB University, the Directorate of International made an official visit to the Gianyar Regency Office on Friday, July 5, 2024. This visit aimed to initiate preparations for a Summer Course that will connect international participants with the local potential of the agro-maritime sector in Gianyar.
The IPB University delegation was led by Puji Mudiana, SP., MA, Director of International Education, accompanied by Alfiasari, SP., M.Si, Deputy Director for International Education Management, and Indri H. Fitriyani, S.P., M.Si, Deputy Director for Planning and Development of International Education.
The outcome of this meeting resulted in an agreement to organize the International Agromaritime Camp (IAMC), which will be held from August 18-28, 2024. IAMC is an innovative program by IPB University that aims to introduce the potential of Indonesia’s agro-maritime sector to international participants. This year, IAMC will take place in Gianyar Regency, a region renowned for its rich natural resources and significant potential in the fisheries and maritime sectors.
IAMC 2024 in Gianyar will feature several exciting activities, including:
- Introduction to Local Potential: Providing international participants with insights into the vast potential of Gianyar’s fisheries and maritime sectors.
- International Collaboration: Introducing IPB University programs and promoting academic collaboration opportunities between participants and related institutions.
- Capacity Building: Participants will gain in-depth knowledge and capacity-building in the agro-maritime field through sessions led by experts and experienced practitioners.
The IAMC program is expected not only to offer new perspectives to international participants regarding the local potential in Gianyar Regency but also to strengthen relationships between academia, government, and industry in fostering sustainable agro-maritime sector development.
