Linkedin Learning Booth: Optimizing Learning and Career Development for IPB Students
IPB University through the Directorate of International Education (DPI) again innovates in the career development of its students by holding Linkedin Learning booths at a number of strategic points of IPB campuses and faculties between August 26-30, 2024 and September 9-11, 2024. This program aims to introduce the Linkedin Learning online learning platform that offers tens of thousands of quality courses in various fields ranging from technology to soft skills development.
Students who visited the booth could immediately learn how to activate an account with an IPB email and make the most of Linkedin Learning. In addition, the booth is also equipped with facilitators who have successfully obtained professional certificates before so that students have an overview of tips on obtaining professional certificates, choosing courses that suit their career path, and tips on operating the features on Linkedin Learning.
Assistant Director of Planning and Development International Education, DPI IPB, Indri Hapsari, S.P., M. Si, stated that this program is part of IPB’s efforts to improve the readiness of graduates to face global competition.
“We want IPB students to not only excel academically, but also have the professional skills needed in the modern world of work. LinkedIn Learning is one of the best means to achieve that,” she said.
The booth program was enthusiastically welcomed by students from various faculties. Many realized the importance of honing additional skills beyond the formal curriculum to increase competitiveness in the workforce.
“I feel helped because now I can access materials that are relevant to industry needs. In addition, the certificate from LinkedIn Learning is also very useful to strengthen my CV,” said Nisa, one of the IPB students.
With this LinkedIn Learning Booth, IPB hopes that students will be increasingly encouraged to develop skills early on and prepare themselves optimally to enter the world of work.
