Socialization of LinkedIn Learning: DPI IPB Invites BEM and Himpro Representatives to Play an Active Role in Disseminating Linkedin Learning Information to Students

On September 19, 2024, the Directorate of International Education (DPI) at IPB in Bogor held an informative session on LinkedIn Learning, attended by representatives from the Student Executive Board (BEM) and the Study Program Student Association (Himpro) from each faculty and department. The event aimed to introduce LinkedIn Learning as a valuable online resource to help students enhance their professional skills across various fields.

During the session, participants gained an in-depth understanding of LinkedIn Learning’s advantages, including access to thousands of high-quality courses, the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications, and tips on creating an appealing and professional LinkedIn profile. The platform is expected to serve as an effective tool for students preparing for career challenges, equipping them with skills needed in the workforce.

Assistant Director of Planning and Development International Education, DPI IPB, Indri Hapsari, S.P., M. Si, conveyed the importance of collaboration between student organizations and universities in disseminating useful information about Linkedin Learning. “We believe that the active role of BEM and Himpro is very important in disseminating this information to all IPB students. Through this collaboration, it is expected that more students can utilize LinkedIn Learning to improve their skills,” she said.

The representatives of BEM and Himpro who attended were also given direction on how they could help socialize Linkedin Learning within their respective faculties and departments. They were encouraged to be a conduit of information and support other students to be more aware of the importance of developing additional skills outside of formal classes. Faishal, a participant representing Vocational School, expressed his enthusiasm for the program. “I think this as a great opportunity for us to help our friends in our faculty be better prepared for the world of work. We will make sure that the information related to LinkedIn Learning is widespread and utilized as well as possible,” he said.
