The 30th Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium 2024: A Successful Global Collaboration at Jiangsu University, China

The Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium (IJSS) was established in 1994 by Mie University (Japan), Chiang Mai University (Thailand), and Jiangsu University (China), and the consortium was subsequently named “Tri-University International Joint Seminar and Symposium.” IPB University first participated in this event in 2003 and has consistently taken part since then. Due to its continuous participation and the achievements of its delegations, IPB University was recognized as the 4th founding university in 2010 and hosted the 19th Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium in 2012.

The Tri-U IJSS serves as a platform for IPB University students to compete on the international stage, test their academic abilities, and compare their research quality with students from leading universities across Asia. This competition involves presenting scientific papers, giving participants the opportunity to present their research findings before an international panel of judges and receive constructive feedback from experts and fellow young researchers.

Through Tri-U IJSS, students can enhance their research skills, improve their presentation abilities in English, and gain international recognition for their achievements. This step is crucial in increasing the global competitiveness of IPB University students, which is expected to further elevate the university’s academic reputation on the world stage.

IPB students made a significant impact at the seminar, with five students receiving the Best Presenter award for their outstanding research and presentation skills. Three students were honored with the Founder Award for their exceptional contributions, while two others received the Best Workshop Group award, reflecting strong teamwork and collaborative efforts.

This event showcased IPB University’s commitment to global engagement, providing students with valuable opportunities to broaden their perspectives and enhance their academic and professional development. Through such initiatives, IPB continues to strengthen international ties, preparing its students for future challenges in a globalized world.
