Improve Personal Branding: LinkedIn Learning Seminar at IPB Vocational School to Prepare Students to Face the Digital Era

Bogor, 23 November 2024 – IPB Vocational School again prepared its students to face the world of work by organizing a seminar entitled “Build Your Personal Brand on LinkedIn & Achieve Your Career Goals with LinkedIn Learning” with the collaboration between the Directorate of International Education of IPB and the AKMAPESA SV IPB Professional Association. This event was held in a hybrid manner at the Zeta Building of SV IPB, with the active participation of around 150 diploma students from semesters 1 to 7.

This seminar aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of the importance of building personal branding in the digital era. The LinkedIn platform, now one of the main tools in the professional world, became the main focus of discussion. Guided by Ms. Juliane, Account Director of LinkedIn Learning Singapore, participants received practical guidance on how to build a LinkedIn profile that is effective, attractive, and in line with professional standards. The session also introduced LinkedIn Learning as a learning medium to enhance skills and achieve globally recognized professional certifications. “LinkedIn is not only a platform for finding a job but also a tool for building self-image and developing competencies through relevant training,” said Ms. Juliane in one of the sessions. Participants were also taught strategies to utilize LinkedIn to build professional networks, expand career opportunities, and maximize their potential through the content and features available on the platform.

The participants enthusiastically welcomed the seminar. “This seminar helped us understand how to use LinkedIn strategically to prepare ourselves to enter the world of work; the speakers were also very inspiring and provided new insights,” said Meli, one of the participants. By organizing this seminar, IPB Vocational School hopes its students will be more confident in utilizing digital technology to support their readiness in the world of work. This seminar is proof of IPB’s efforts to produce those who can compete globally.
