IPB University Hosts Courtesy Visit with South China Agricultural University, Guangxi Huilaibao Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Guangxi University of Science and Technology, and Julong Indonesia
Bogor, February 6, 2025 — IPB University welcomed the delegations from South China Agricultural University (SCAU), Guangxi Huilaibao Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GUST), and Julong Indonesia in a courtesy visit held on 6 February, 2025.
During the visit, Dr. Yu Wang from SCAU presented their research related to agricultural machinery. Dr. Edy Hartulistiyoso, Head of the Department of Mechanical and Biosystem Engineering IPB presented the research and innovation in machinery manufacturing of IPB. The session continued with a joint discussion covering potential collaborations in agricultural technology, machinery manufacturing, and smart agriculture.
Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Lianqi Wang, Chairman of Guangxi Huilaibao Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd, Dr. Qiaoming Gao from GSTU, and several professors from SCAU, including Dr. Shan Zeng, Dr. Yu Wang, Dr. Jiehao Li, and Dr. Jiahuan Lu. Also present were business representatives from Guangxi Huilaibao Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd, as well as Mr. Wenzhong Lei from Julong Indonesia.
From IPB University, the meeting was attended by Prof. Iskandar Siregar as Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Collaboration and Alumni Relations, Prof. Aris Purwanto as Vice Dean for Resources, Cooperation and Development, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Dr. Edy Hartulistiyoso, Head of the Department of Mechanical and Biosystem Engineering, Dordia A. Rotinsulu, Ph.D, Deputy Director for International Program Services; and Dr. Slamet Widodo, Secretary of the Department of Mechanical and Biosystem Engineering. This visit is expected to pave the way for future collaborations in agricultural innovation and technology exchange between IPB University and the visiting institutions.
