IPB University Attends ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum (AEF) 2025, Malaysia

Selangor, Malaysia, February 24-25, 2025 – IPB University took part in the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum (AEF 2025) at Sunway Resort Hotel, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. This event provided a strategic platform for IPB University to showcase its academic programs, research initiatives, and student exchange opportunities to students and scholars from across ASEAN. With 244 universities from Southeast Asia participating, AEF 2025 served as a hub for strengthening academic partnerships and promoting regional student mobility.

At AEF 2025, IPB University highlighted its outstanding programs, including the Graduate School program, Double Degree program, and International Undergraduate Program (IUP), along with scholarships such as the Rector Scholarship and the KNB (Developing Country Partnership) Scholarship from Indonesia’s Ministry of Education. The university’s exhibition booth drew significant interest from visitors, including students from various educational backgrounds and representatives from ASEAN universities. Moreover, numerous academic delegates and higher education institutions engaged in discussions with IPB University to explore potential collaborations, particularly in student mobility, exchange programs, and the renewal of university Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).

Aside from the education exhibition, AEF 2025 also marked the launch of the ASEAN Global Exchange for Mobility and Scholarship (GEMS) and the ASEAN Student Mobility Program 2025. These initiatives aim to expand opportunities for ASEAN students to study at universities within the region. IPB University received special attention from several key figures, including the Education Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Firdaus, as well as Malaysia’s Minister of Education, YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd. Kadir, who visited the IPB University booth and received booklets and flyers containing information about the university’s education programs.

With the high enthusiasm from students, academics, and education stakeholders in ASEAN, IPB University’s involvement in AEF 2025 is anticipated to further expand its international network and boost institutional competitiveness globally. Beyond serving as a platform for promotion and outreach, the event also created new opportunities for IPB University to contribute to the advancement of higher education in ASEAN through collaboration and sustainable innovation.
