Visit of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to IPB University: IPB is a strategic partner to Strengthen Academic and Research collaboration
Bogor, March 25, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Indonesia, H.E. Marc Gerritsen had a courtesy visit to IPB University to strengthen cooperation in education, research, and development of agriculture and science (25/03). The delegations were welcomed by the Rector of IPB University, Prof. Dr. Arif Satria, along with the IPB University’s leaders. H.E. Gerritsen, was accompanied by Ms. Nofalia Nurfitriani (Agricultural Advisor), Ms. Puji Astuti (Education and Science Advisor), and Ms. Annejet Rempt (Intern of the Department of Politics).
IPB has a long-standing collaboration with the Netherlands. IPB and the institutions in the Netherlands collaborate in at least 7 active research consortia, including SustainPalm, INREF Smart Ag, INREF-InReef, NWO One Health, Stewardship Economy, Orange Knowledge Programme-Tailor Made Training (OKP-TMT), and HollandDoor-GroenPact. IPB currently maintains 33 MoU/MoA and Agreements with various institutions in the Netherlands. “IPB University is a strategic partner of Netherlands Universities to strengthen academic and research collaboration,” said HE. Gerritsen.
In 2024, Prof Arif Satria was invited as a speaker in the WINNER (Week of Indonesia-Netherlands Education and Research) in Amsterdam, which served as a valuable platform to strengthen academic and research collaborations. “IPB is honored to host the second day of the WINNER 2025 series of events which will be held on October 07-09, 2025.” said Prof Satria. WINNER is an initiative by the Netherlands Embassy in Jakarta. This visit is expected to open up opportunities for strategic collaboration that benefits both parties in academic and research development.
