Through NUS Enterprise, NUS collaborates with IPB in the Master of Science in Venture Creations (MSVC) program, a postgraduate program that focuses on the process of transforming ideas and innovation into business. IPB and NUS signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to open opportunities for IPB graduates to receive further education in the field of Venture Creations at NUS.
Starting his speech, the Rector of IPB, Arif Satria said “this new collaboration with NUS in Venture Creations is in line with IPB’s vision to take part in sociopreneurship and technopreneurship, both of which are very important for achieving social and economic missions”. Arif also emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in supporting the Indonesian agricultural industry to produce higher quality and efficient products. Arif also explained various IPB programs on community development based on a techno-sociopreneurship approach, including the “One Village One CEO” as a form of effort to support this mission.
The signing of the MoA was carried out at the NUS Enterprise campus by the IPB University Rector together with Prof. Chee Yeow Meng, Vice President for Innovation and Enterprise NUS, witnessed by Dr. Dwi Larso, LPDP Scholarship Director, and Dr Wilson Wang, Deputy Academic Director of NUS Enterprise Academy and Head of Postgrad and CET Programmes. This meeting between IPB and NUS Enterprise was a productive discussion forum that included interactions involving NUS MSVC program students from Indonesia. Cooperation related to the MSVC program will continue to be developed as a follow-up step to the signing of the MoU by the Rector of IPB and the President of NUS, Prof. Tan Eng Chye, during his Scientific Oration at the IPB Campus as part of IPB’s 60th Anniversary in October 2023. Various forms of collaboration in the education sector are further explored by NUS and IPB, especially in IPB and NUS’ efforts to develop entrepreneurship and innovation-based sociopreneurship. This will have a direct impact on Indonesian society and also expand IPB’s work at the global level.
