Held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 1:30 to 3:00 PM (WIB), the event took place in a hybrid format at the Innopreneurship Center Ballroom, 3rd Floor of Mandiri Building, IPB University. The discussion was moderated by Prof. Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, M.Sc. F.Trop, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at IPB University and a leading expert in forest management. His role as a moderator enriched the session with insightful and contextual perspectives, especially in relation to Indonesia’s environmental and policy landscape.
In his presentation, Prof. Jintao Xu explained how China is designing its transition toward carbon neutrality by combining well-structured economic policies, technological innovation, and nature-based solutions such as large-scale forest expansion. He emphasized that energy sector reform and the implementation of effective carbon pricing mechanisms are crucial to encouraging behavioral change and investment in low-emission development. This integrated approach, he noted, reflects significant potential to harmonize economic growth with environmental sustainability.
