Summer Course – EMBRIO X Faculty of Marine Sciences

Program Overview

EMBRIO FPIK IPB University, in collaboration with Biorock Indonesia and Eckerd College (USA), is organizing the 7th EMBRIO Summer Course 2026 under the theme
“Sustainable Ocean Solutions: Integrating Biorock, Tourism, and Community in Bali.”
This program aims to strengthen the university’s internationalization efforts through a holistic approach to marine conservation.

This 4-credit (SKS) program is delivered in a hybrid format, beginning with online sessions via the Open Courseware platform from June 1–10, followed by on-site field activities in Pemuteran, Bali, from June 17 to July 1, 2026.

Through this strategic collaboration, both international and local students will explore tropical marine ecology, Biorock coral restoration technology, and community-based ecotourism. The program is designed to nurture future changemakers capable of developing sustainable solutions for global coastal ecosystems.
