The 6th Summer Course of Sustainable Business Development: Responsible Innovation in MSMEs for Sustainable Business

Program Overview

The Sustainable Business Development (SBD) 2026 program marks the sixth edition of the Sustainable Business Development Summer Course since its inaugural implementation in 2021. This year’s program adopts the theme “Responsible Innovation in MSMEs for Sustainable Business,” highlighting the critical role of innovation, sustainability, and responsible business practices in strengthening Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) within an increasingly dynamic global economy.

SBD 2026 is designed to achieve several strategic objectives: (1) to deliver a high-quality international Summer Course through collaboration with world-class international partners as part of IPB University’s internationalization agenda; (2) to foster an inclusive, multicultural, and interdisciplinary academic environment that enriches the global learning experience of IPB students, faculty, and staff; (3) to increase the participation of inbound international students and faculty members, thereby enhancing IPB University’s global attractiveness and expanding its international academic network; (4) to initiate new international partnerships while strengthening and sustaining existing collaborations in education, research, and institutional development; and (5) to promote the international class programs offered by the IPB Business School.

The program will be held from 5–16 August 2026 in a hybrid format, combining onsite and online learning activities. Participants will engage in classroom sessions at the IPB Business School Campus, Bogor, complemented by field trips and experiential learning activities. Several international lecturers will contribute to the program through online teaching sessions, ensuring broader global participation and knowledge exchange.

SBD 2026 features distinguished international and national experts in business and management, including Assoc. Prof. Salmi Mohd Isa (Universiti Sains Malaysia), Dr. Ramona Blanes (Adam Smith Business School, United Kingdom), Dr. Mariana Koukou (Adam Smith Business School, United Kingdom), Assoc.
