Program History:
We have implemented the DD Master (S2) program of IPB University – Kyoto University since 2012.
Entry Requirements
Academic Requirement:
• Candidates must be registered as Master Double Degree (DD) students in the relevant program at IPB University.
• Research focus in the field of environmental studies.
Accepted Majors:
Relevant to the designated lab
Language Proficiency Requirements:
• TOEFL ITP score ≥500 / IELTS score ≥6 (eligibility based on English proficiency test scores)
Matriculation Requirements:
No matriculation
Minimum GPA:
• GPA ≥ 3.00 (out of 4.0)
Required Documents:
• Application form (Biodata, Background, Research Plan)
• Bachelor’s degree certificate and transcript
• Recommendation Letter
• Approval letter from the supervising committee or program head
• English proficiency certificate
• Student ID card (KTM)
• Passport
Application Process
Application Period:
One primary application period per year.
• March – June 2025: Application forms become available online.
• September 2025: Start of the academic year.
Tuition & Scholarships
Tuition Fee:
IPB University
• Tuition Fee: 9,000,000 IDR per semester
• While studying abroad, 10% of the tuition fee is still paid to IPB.
• Registration Fee: 750,000 IDR per student
Kyoto University
• Tuition fee: Waived
Scholarship Opportunities:
• Scholarship opportunities from Kyoto University, the Japanese government, or the JASSO are available for 1-2 students.
