Summer Course – Centre for Climate Risk and Opportunity Management in Southeast Asia and Pacific
CLIMATE RESILIENCE ACADEMY: UNDERSTANDING RISK AND VULNERABILITY
Program Overview
The strategic collaboration between the Climate Change Risk and Opportunity Management in Southeast Asia and Pacific (CCROM SEAP), IPB University, and the Faculty of Environment, National University of Laos (NUoL) through the Summer Course program aims to foster knowledge exchange and capacity building in climate risk management across two distinct yet regionally interconnected ecosystems.
This program provides a platform for students, academics, and practitioners to explore climate-related challenges, adaptation strategies, and sustainable environmental management practices in Indonesia and Laos. Through lectures, field studies, interactive discussions, and collaborative learning activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of climate vulnerabilities, resilience-building approaches, and the socio-environmental dynamics that influence climate risk management in both countries.
By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the Summer Course seeks to strengthen regional cooperation, encourage cross-cultural learning, and develop future leaders equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to address climate change challenges in Southeast Asia. The program also supports the broader goals of sustainable development by promoting innovative solutions and collaborative actions for climate resilience and environmental sustainability.
