Ehime University, Japan, Visits IPB University to Explore New Opportunities for Collaboration
IPB University welcomed the President of Ehime University, Japan, on October 13, 2025, at the IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor. The visit aimed to further strengthen the long-standing partnership between the two institutions in education and research.
The meeting opened with a discussion on potential areas for future collaboration, including agriculture, technology, and interdisciplinary studies. Both universities also explored opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, as well as the development of new joint research initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Nishina Hiroshige (President of Ehime University), Prof. drh. Deni Noviana (Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs of IPB University), Dr. Alim Setiawan Slamet (Vice Rector for Resource and Infrastructure Resilience), and Prof. Dr. Ir. Iskandar Z. Siregar (Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Cooperation, and Alumni Relations), along with other delegates from both universities. Several IPB lecturers and staff members who are alumni of Ehime University also joined the meeting.
Following the meeting, the Ehime University delegation joined a short tour around the campus, visiting the IPB Museum and the Smart Greenhouse to observe IPB University’s educational facilities and innovation projects.
This visit reaffirmed the strong academic ties between IPB University and Ehime University and opened new opportunities for collaborative initiatives in advancing sustainable science and technology.
