Bogor, 23 October 2025 – IPB University, through its Directorate of International Education, collaborated with BINUS University, Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Islam Indonesia, and Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya to organize the iBuddy Community Impact Summit 2025. This program serves as a platform for students who act as buddies for international students to engage in community-based learning and development.
The series of iBuddy Community Impact Summit activities began with a benchmarking event at BINUS University Alam Sutera, followed by a program in August at Universitas Islam Indonesia, located in Girirejo Village, Central Java. The program concluded in October with activities hosted by both Universitas Padjadjaran and IPB University.

The event at IPB University was officially opened by Prof. drh. Deni Noviana, Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, IPB University. In his opening remarks, he expressed his hope that the program would provide valuable learning experiences for students, enabling them to interact directly with the local community, understand sustainable agrotourism practices, and contribute to developing Sukajadi Village as an agriculture-based tourism destination.

Students were also equipped with a Guest Lecture titled “Community Empowerment Program and Development of Village Tourism through the Implementation of Sustainable Agricultural Practices”, delivered by Mr. Lilis Sucahyo, S.TP., M.Si., Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical and Biosystem Engineering, IPB University. - Group 2 explored strawberry cultivation

The activities concluded with a collaborative session making traditional Noga cakes together with the women of Sukajadi Village.
Carrying the theme “How to Improve Agrotourism Village”, each group presented creative ideas and proposals on how to develop Sukajadi Village into a sustainable agriculture-based tourism village.
This program not only enhanced students’ knowledge of sustainable agriculture but also strengthened cross-cultural interaction and collaboration among students from various universities. It also encouraged students to contribute actively to community development, aligning with IPB University’s mission to promote sustainable agriculture and community empowerment.
