UiTM Sabah Student Visit to IPB Vocational School: Strengthening Academic Collaboration

Bogor, 28 June 2025 – A total of 22 students and 1 accompanying lecturer from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sabah, Malaysia, made an academic visit to the Study Program of Livestock Technology and Management, Vocational School of IPB University. This activity was part of the program “Echoes of Borneo in Bogor: Glimpse of Borneo through Academic and Cultural Exchange” which is organized as a form of knowledge and cultural exchange between countries.

The visit began with a warm lunch together, followed by a courtesy visit session and academic discussion between UiTM Sabah, lecturers and students of IPB Vocational School and IPB Directorate of International Education. The discussion covered topics of cooperation between the two parties, including opportunities for research collaboration, student exchanges, and student internships in the future.

The activity continued with an interactive student discussion, where students from both University exchanged experiences related to their studies, academic challenges, and campus culture.

After the discussion, the group was invited to see directly the learning support facilities owned by the study program, including laboratories and practical units that are the mainstay of vocational learning at IPB. One of the visiting students, Rachel, conveyed her positive impression of IPB. “IPB Vocational School is very spacious, and the facilities are very complete. We, foreign students, are very interested in studying here,” Rachel said.

This visit not only strengthens the institutional relationship between IPB and UiTM Sabah but also provides valuable experience for the students to build international networks and expand their global horizons in the field of applied science.
