IPB University Showcases CEBCAT Project at the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026 in Tangerang, Banten
IPB University participated in the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026, held from 22–25 June 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD), Indonesia. The event brought together thousands of participants from more than 120 countries, creating a unique forum for universities, policymakers, businesses, and development organizations to exchange ideas and develop collaborative solutions for global sustainability challenges.
Through its exhibition booth, IPB University introduced various sustainability-focused initiatives and international collaboration programs, including the Building Capacities for a Transition to a Circular Economy (CEBCAT) project. During the four-day congress, representatives from IPB University presented CEBCAT to participants from higher education institutions, industry, government agencies, and international organizations.

CEBCAT attracted considerable interest for its efforts to strengthen capacities in circular economy practices, sustainability education, and innovation-driven transformation across Asian universities through collaboration with European partners. The project highlighted the importance of international cooperation in supporting sustainable development and advancing the transition toward a circular economy.
The congress also provided valuable opportunities for IPB University to engage with stakeholders from around the world and explore potential partnerships in education, research, and community development. By showcasing CEBCAT at GSDC 2026, IPB University reaffirmed its commitment to advancing sustainable development through international collaboration and innovation, while strengthening the project’s global visibility and opening new opportunities for future cooperation in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
