IPB Participates in Indonesia Education Exhibition at Yala, Thailand 2024: Showcasing Global Opportunities Through the Directorate of International Education

Yala, Thailand – The Indonesia Education Fair (IEF) 2024 is set to take place on December 11–12 at Yala Rajabhat University, Yala, Thailand, as part of a four-day official program from December 10–13. Organized by the Indonesian Consulate in Songkhla in collaboration with Yala Rajabhat University, the event aims to promote Indonesian higher education to the international community, particularly in southern Thailand. With 100 high schools and universities invited and high enthusiasm from local academic and over government representatives, IEF 2024 seeks to strengthen educational and cultural ties in the Southeast Asian region.

Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) through the Directorate of International Education (DPI IPB) takes on an important role in IEF 2024, highlighting its innovative programs and global reputation. Through its booth, IPB offers detailed information about IPB’s international initiatives, including the Rector Scholarship, the Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship (KNB), and its International Undergraduate Program (IUP). IPB will also conduct presentations focusing on collaboration opportunities with local Thailand institutions and governments. These efforts aim to attract Thailand’s students and enhance IPB’s international exposure as a leading educational institution.

A total of 18 prestigious Indonesian universities, including Universitas Hasanuddin, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, BINUS International University, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry and Muhammadiyah University in Indonesia, will join IPB in representing the nation’s educational excellence. IPB will lead efforts to engage high school students and university attendees from southern Thailand, offering insights into the student experience in Indonesia and pathways to academic excellence. Southern Thailand has a large Muslim population like the Indonesian population. Therefore, the opportunities for students at the high school level and local students to continue their education in Indonesia are more widely open. Moreover, the opportunity to get a KNB Scholarship is highly prospective due to the support of Thai students who have studied at IPB and are currently being lecturers at several local universities, which could be an opportunity for cooperation to bring in full degree and student exchange students.

Indonesia Education Fair 2024 is more than an expo, it is a collaborative effort to strengthen academic networks and cultural understanding. IPB, through its participation, exemplifies this mission by combining education promotion with active engagement in international collaboration. Together, let’s inspire a new era of education and partnership in Southeast Asia, connecting minds and shaping the future.
