Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan witnessed MoU Signing IPB University and University of Agriculture Faisalabad

On October 2, 2025, The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, visited IPB University and witnessed the MoU signing ceremony between IPB University and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has been actively connecting universities in Pakistan with IPB University, particularly those working in agriculture-related fields. 

The meeting was opened with welcome remarks by the Rector of IPB University, highlighting the importance of this partnership for advancing academic cooperation and research collaboration in agriculture between Indonesia and Pakistan. Following the Rector’s address, Mr. Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri expressed that Pakistan and Indonesia have a strong bilateral relationship. He emphasized that through this MoU, both countries hope to elevate their cooperation to the next level, not only between the universities but also between Indonesia and Pakistan.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, and Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of Indonesia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Rahmat Hindiarta Kusuma, joined the forum online. They conveyed enthusiasm for this collaborative effort and spoke about the goals and future cooperation prospects in education and agricultural development.

The MoU was officially signed by representatives of both universities, marking a new chapter in bilateral academic relations. To conclude the visit, delegates took a tour of IPB University’s museum and the Science and Technology Park (STP), showcasing IPB’s research facilities, innovation, business incubation, and technology transfer focused on tropical agriculture, food, biosciences, and marine products.

The visit marked a meaningful milestone in fostering stronger ties between IPB University and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, setting a promising foundation for future partnerships in education, research, and agricultural innovation. Both institutions expressed enthusiasm for continued collaboration to address shared challenges and advance sustainable development goals.
